Getting the Wheeling Fever

I see alot of people changing to a solid front axle. I see that it can be alot stronger, but what are the other advantages?? Everyone seems to bash IFS, what are the reasons for this??? I can already tell looking around this forum, I am about to spend alot of money I don't have on some goodies for my truck.
