Since Joe posted up his new Isuzu ride I thought I'd post up pictures of the new (to me) Isuzu I bought yesterday too!
Would you believe it? This is an 89 I Mark! (THanks Jerry for the reminder)

Talk about clean! And still runs like a scalded ape! smile
See that little green enblem on the side of the fender? It says "Lotus Tuned Suspension" Boy, am I gonna get in trouble with this one on the roads out to my house. I love to corner!

Twin cam gas motor for now. Pushing about 140 horse
And the best part, I have a brand new Diesel Engine just waiting for it. Funny thing, the diesel and this car are the same year. So it will be a bolt in and drain/flush the fuel tank swap.

Don't know if you can see it but there is almost 230K miles on the Odo. Everything on this car has been replaced except the bottom end of the engine and the seats. P.O. was meticulous about preventitive maintenance. All the bearings, brakes, axles, shocks, transmission, radiator, ect ect all nearly new. All I gotta do is the engine when it goes. If it ever does. And I've got that covered.
And I've even got a new radio for it. P.O. wanted to keep his tunes! No big deal since radios are easy to install.

Although it's not for off road it will definitly get me down the road. Been looking for a car like this for 6 years. Picked it up to commute in when the weather is too bad for my motorcycle.

This make five Isuzu Vehicles for me now. Sorry, it's an addiction.

Well you know it's got to be TURBOED & Intercooled if it's going to haul my butt around in it. The 1.7 L TD engine is new and setting in my shop now. Jerry and I are going to fit it with a lightened clutch and new CV axles as soon as I can get it over to his house. Since the five speed is almost new it stays. Looking for something that will accelerate well enough that I don't miss the 140 horse gas motor (much ). And,get all the mileage I can get out of it. (I'm shooting for 50 mpg) Best part, it will be capable of running on veggie oil if I want. Just like my Dodge tow rig.

Oh and lest I forget, we're going to try and fit it with rear disc brakes too. It will get a black out tint added to the glass for these Texas Summers.
