Just an update. I have pulled the interior fan and blower cage several times for cleaning. Yesterday I stuck my finger towards the center console and felt the AC evaporator was clogged. Who knows how long it has been like this. So then I followed the instructions in this post and pulled the whole fan housing to get access to the evaporator for vacuuming.

If you have a musty smell from air vents, have had critters in the blower cage, or a sluggish AC, I suggest doing the easy check of pulling the fan motor and feeling the evaporator.

Now the mice: built the 5 gallon bucket trap but did not didn't put any water in it as I wanted other forms of torture for what they did. I was thinking they could not jump or crawl out anyway. The next morning there were no mice in it but I had simultaneously set a Victor M310 Tin Cat and there were 4 mice in it munching on Smuckers crunchy peanut butter. I took them down the road and dropped them off in front of a church (parking lot was empty). They are now on their way to becoming better mice. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
