My personal favorite for concealed carry is my S&W Centenial j-frame revolver .... it's only 5 shots but it's chambered for .357 MAG and it packs a hellava whallop ! I usually keep it loaded up with Federal Hydra-shock 38 Special +P rounds. It's double action only and very safe to carry as there is no exposed hammer.

My home defense pistol is a pre-ban Beretta 92FS 9mm ... Kindof a light round but I have at least 15 chances to hit my target !

If you do buy a autoloader for home defence and personal carry .... remember to change out your magazines every so often to keep the magazine springs from collapsing.

I keep both locked up in pistol safes that are opened with fingertip buttons.

My primary home defence weapon is, however, not either of my handguns .... it's a S&W semi-auto 12 gauge scattergun !!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" />
