thanks for the concern guys. i got an estimate yesterday for $4,175 using used parts. needless to say they sent me to the total loss department for another evaluation. i'm not sure when my appointment w/ them is yet b/c i was in class when they called today. they also gave me a rental car voucher which i'm going to use tomorrow. i don't really need a rental since i have my truck but what the heck, its free and saving wear on my yota. as long as i can spin tires in it and get 30 mpg im happy lol.

i'm still unsure as to how the whole total loss procedure goes though. i have the right to keep my car w/o a salvage title right? i mean the nada value of it is $5800, and they go for a lot more than that on autotrader. i just don't want to get ripped off. but even if it is totaled i'm going to buy it back from them. the rims alone went for $1800 new. not to mention i could get at least $1500 for the engine. but i would much rather fix it.

but rich, which law are you talking about regarding accident repair. are you saying regardless as to how much it costs to fix, i can still get it repaired?
