That truck look great! Congratulations! Man, you really rescued that Montero...

Could you post the blueprints for that bumper please? I want to make a custom bumper for my Galloper (a Gen I built by Hyundai), since an ARB costs over $1500 here.

Blue print:

Buy 2"x 5" tube, 2" x 2" tube, cut and bend, weld. Use your truck as a template to adjust to your measurements. Use 2" wide flat bar stock to box up the openings. Use angle iron for the mounts to the frame. Order some shackle tabs from a fab shop and weld those on.

Grind, then grind some more, sand, primer, filler primer, light sand, paint black.

Thats pretty much it in a nutshell.

Not laughing to be an I just dont have any blue prints as I've pretty much just winged it using my 89 as a mock up to ensure a good fit. Hope this helps, the progress pics should give you a good idea

love the save you made on that truck.

re: one of the initial pre-body lift pics, that wheel/tire combo fit no prob, eh?

BTW, gotta love the boxer dog/ swb combo. our boxer actually owns the montero, the boxer has his own box! perfect dog beach/park/etc transport mobile vs. sand, spittle, etc in our new cars ; )

'87 swb 5spd 2.6L Montero, >150k miles. Pretty much bone stock as purchased from user ToddStidham1, 'cept some Hella 500's, 700's and Hella ECE headlight conversions.

J,

Any luck getting those pics of the front frame notch for me? I wanna get this thing on the rig before school starts.

Thanks.

Jon, I'm out on a training op in the desert right now. I meant to take the pics before leaving but things got a little messed up when I had to get a new garage door put on at thevlast minute. Hopefully I'll be able to sneak home and take a pic for you soon.
