There's been many a person trying to find the answer to this with varied responses. The most common is 30x9.5 or 235/75. Before lashing out and buying a set I decided to try the 235/75R15 out first, albeit a bald one.

looks pretty gnarly compared to the 205's. From full lock to full lock, no rubbing, even with a little reticulation. Not fully off road tested but good enough for me. When I get my tax money in 3 months, 5 new tyres going on!
The only bit that seemed close was the front inner guard...

..but it still has an inch or so to play with.
Hope it helps some of the newcomers. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

P.S. I recommend that nobody tries to change tyres using a tyre lever and screwdriver. Much easier letting the guys at the tyre service do it, plus you get less cuts on your hand <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/drunk.gif" alt="" />
