Well, here's a quick-n-dirty check that worked for me. When I bought the truck, the turn signals would be slow, and would eventually freeze "on". If yours is doing this, when it freezes in the "on" state, whack the driver-side wall of the footwell with the side of your left foot. If the signals start flashing again (albeit slowly, or freeze "on" again shortly thereafter) it's your relay. I just got a generic one from the local Kragen that had the same lug pattern as the Mitsu one, and zip-tied it to something on the left side of the footwell and it's still flashing regularly 2 years later <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> Hopefully your fix will be as easy.
