Ralk, reminded me of the 2.5 I just replaced in mine. Pretty easy job. I got 144,000 out of the first, so we'll see how this one does. I notice a slight power increase, but nothing awe-inspiring. 2.5's are what they are!!!
Oh, by the way, how was/is the idle on you're 2.5? I cannot get this thing to idle smooth or like I want it to idle. The old motor was the same way. Maybe it's inherent to a 2.5. My tachometer is steady as can be but the vibration is still there.

Finished the 2.5L swap this past saturday. No pics yet.. I was way to tired I didn't take the trany out with the motor and had a hell of a time trying to line up the new clutch. I finally found a store with an alignment tool and it went in real easy after that. Anyways.. It is running great. No hesitation, no vibration, no backfires... BTW - I think some of my vibrations was coming from my clutch bearing. I might be wrong, but that baby was shot... Oh ya.. It started first crank!! I was shocked beyond belief. I have better low-end torque, but not high-end speed. I expect to get better high-end once the engine breaks in. Question: I almost picked up a throttle body spacer this weekend as well, but thought I would ask everyones opinion on it first..

Drive around a bit with that new engine. If you see a dead dog beside the road get out and stuff some money up under his tail.. Then see if your engine runs any better. Purchasing a TBS is about the same as stuffing the money under a dead dogs tail! It does absolutly NOTHING to your engine. Big JIm
