This year's Mitsubishi Owner's Day for S. Cal will be on July 14th.

Don't have any dates for the Normal IL MOD event yet.

Additionally I know they were talking about possibly having a 3rd event (in addition to Irvine CA & Normal IL).

I did tell them an East coast or Southern event would be great but realistically we're so distributed it would be hard to give them a good location.

Anyhow, if you're interested in the S. Ca show, mark your calendars for the Irvine show on the 7/14.

Atlanta's pretty much in the middle of everything for a southern event. That would make as much sense as anything I've heard.

Believe it or not, Mitsu's marketing hasn't been doing these events. It's the r&d team who has. So marketing is just now starting to be convinced that it's a good idea.

Also notice the event's have been held at Mitsu site's versus other more costly venue's.

I suspect that the cost is the reason they're not doing them anywhere else yet. Let's face it to do any kind of event like this it's business driven and unfortunately it's not easy to track what revenue comes from these kinds of events. Now, don't go into a discussion about how this convinces folks that mitsu vehicles are good and all that. You'll simply be preaching to the choir.

I also suspect that once marketing's 100% on board with the idea then you'll definitely see more shows around the country and hopefully in your areas.

I also recommend that rather than whine <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> about that here, you should write letters to MMSA asking them why they're not having these shows in your area. That might stir things up more so we can awaken their folks from their marketing dept. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Just bringing this back to the top. I haven't seen any replies from you folks in S. Cal where I would hope some of you are going to be there. I will be and I'm N.Cal. I'm sure Cap510 & perhaps even Russell will be as well and we're all from N. Cal.

I just had great conversation with Ray, and as for the last 2 events....

Both the Turbo "redcar" and SR will be there.

What's sad is, the first year(05) we had a great time and turn out, and then last year(06) I felt pretty much like a 2 car show with only my 2 vehicles and 2 others that just "showed up"..

I know I've been busy with my business and haven't been on here in awhile, but now it seems theres alot more SoCal peeps here.

Let's make 07 MOD the best yet !!! Ray, who do we need to talk to about getting some good space? Last year, we were in the "back of the bus" so to speak...
