I think the posters question is will the tranny come out from under the truck at stock ride height or does the vehicle need to be raised more. My answer is that I don't think you'll have to raise it up. My truck has a 3" lift, but my tranny came out from under with no problems and it was sitting on top of a tranny jack that was about 6 to 8 inches high.
