You don't need to remove the xmember to get the drive shaft bolts off though. It's just tight.

I leave the xmember attached to the tranny when I remove the trans. Just remove the 4 nuts at the frame attachment point. It acts as a handle to grab onto the tranny when you go to reinstall it.
