I don't think it would be even close to fitting.

If I remember right, weren't the Isuzu v8 convertions done with smaller compact v8's?

There's not much thats compact about a 454. Thats not to say it couldn't be done.
the big Caddy engines are realtively small/light for their 400+ CI displacemnt.

biggest problem's I see will be moving the radiator inbetween the headlights, and redoing the steering column from the firewall to the box...........oh and the exhaust will be ugh..........a........*%$#@@#.
Maybe upside down shorty headers thru the hood.
you'll need to modify the firewall 'cause the rear of the driverside head will probably hit right were the gas pedal is at.
Keep the oil pan an 1" off the centerlink and you'll have plenty of hood clearance.
I say go for it,

400ci? try 300ci for the 4.9
Just to clarify - 454 is the cubic inch designation, 4.9is the LITER designation. A 454 would be 7.439 liters. Jay

400ci? try 300ci for the 4.9 No, the real Caddy V8's of the days when cars were huge and went fast. 425ci, 472ci and the King of Monsterous factory blocks the 500ci V8. We were after all talking about big blocks here.... -Mike
