My 1988 Montero came with 215/75/15 Bridgestone Desert Duelers I know this because I still have the original spare I have 2 of em in the shed, one from my '87 and one from gramps' '88. Maybe one day I'll have 4 and can relive the late 80's

My wife GEN III also came with Bridgestone Duelers and they were the greatest piece of cr*p ever, they lasted like 30k miles, then went to a set of Pirelli Scorpion ST's great grip but too of a soft compound and lasted like 30-35k miles or so. It is now wearing Michelin LXT M/S and the reviews said they could last up to 85k miles Javy
88 red Montero with the Dakar Special Edition decals, 438,000 miles (As of 7/23/2012) some occational blue puffing but still strong and counting!!! I am going ppsshhh (turbo), Stay tuned =) ...
