ooops, i rolled the sporty today. let's just say the outcome isn't good. i wasn't even on a steep incline. me and a friend were out off roading today, doing some moderate hill climbs and i found an extremely soft spot in the hill i was climbing. next thing i know is i'm doing a barrel roll down the hill. my wife is pissed because we're down to one car again. i think the body damage can be fixed, but it will take a while. the sad thing is that i just ordered the lift kit for my sportage, and now i may not even need it, the insurance company pretty much said tough luck because it wasn't fully insured. unfortunately, i don't have any pics(neither one of us had our cameras with us.) and the tow truck that picked up the sporty has it behind locked gates. like i said, oops.

my roof line is now about 3 inches shorter. it's pretty much done in for. but, you're right, i'm okay. i got away with nothing more than a scratch on my forearm. i guess next time i'll be paying more attention to my terrain.

Glad your ok. Sorry to hear about your bad luck. Maybe you could find one on craigslist that has a broken motor and swap all your good stuff in. Hope that you have a good outcome. Everet
Guess that roof rack I sold you is toast

i was in process of getting a cherokee\wagoneer, looks like it's the only thing i'll have to drive. i didn't owe that much on the sportage, but i'm buying it from my father in law, so he'll probably let it slide. as for the rack everet, it ripped right off the top on the second barrel roll. that and my antanae is gone. i could probably find another, but the jeep i was looking at is only 600.00 bucks. so, i may go with that option. i'm not sure on what to do about it yet. but as for pics, sorry, i'm not taking any. just looking at what's left of it makes my stomach turn, and with me, that's not a good thing. i'll let you guys know what i plan on doing. later, turtle.

good thing you are ok!!!! i get a little worried a few times, when it comes to some slippery hills, seems the slightest little thing could make your front end come around!
and sorry for jumping rite into this, but if you do any parting out, if any of the bolts and the end caps from the roof rack survived, what would you want for them?

it's all cool, but i can't part anything out, the impound lot won't let me have the truck back. it seems that i was trespassing on private land when i flipped the sportage, and the owner wasn't happy about it. now i may have to go to court over the damages i did to his land. the funny thing is i should get him for the damages his land did to my truck.
