Missed yesterday's post. Anyone else is welcome to weigh in.

I did make a 600 mile drive yesterday, about what I will make each of two days getting to Moab.

Today I got the CVs reassembled, the steering gear installed, and the axle hung. Now I can start figuring out what I am going to do with the cross-member.

One unexpected benefit is that I gained some much need room to get to my passenger side mounted started.

Must be... 45

Yikes.

Well, got some stuff done this weekend, replaced the rear axle seals with gin-u-wine Isuzu seals, these better hold. And I do think I'm getting the hang of re-assembling those e-brakes...
Also re-routed the rear air line, and fixed a leak at the rear solenoid on the compressor manifold, which was a bigger job than it sounds, had to take a bunch of stuff apart to get there.

Then it started to snow and my fingers got numb so I came in the house... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shiner.gif" alt="" />

I got a problem resolved with my winch this afternoon, actually two issues. Couldn't get myself up to getting all greasy by installing the other CV shaft.

I also cut some wood to use to mock up my new cross member. I figure that holding up pieces of hem-fir was easier than steel. Also, since I have to go elsewhere to use the welder, I can do a mockup in wood using my own tools and shop. "Should" make the fabricating easier when I get to that step.

Body Damage is Cool
I replaced the rear u-joint in the amigo. I love it when dust comes out of one of the caps (vibrations started about 3 days earlier, got really wobbly, really fast). I think that means the amigo is ready to go.

Dan's samurai is sporting some revolver shackles on the rear, and will have a locker in a week or two. Amanda's XJ has a 3" lift and 31s.

We can hardly wait!
