Roll Me Over
Just got home from EJS, and my Truck, trailer, and Buggy are all still in Moab eagerly awaiting ZuZoo.

Now that's convenient!

In my single available wrenching day in the last week I got the diff drop brackets in, along with the new axles and notched crossmember. Now I just have to get the knuckles back on, bleed the brakes, get an alignment, etc.

Yippie! The moons have aligned. The wife ended up retiring early from the Army, which then caused her to seek employment earlier than expected, which in turned caused her to get said employment, which she does not earn any vacation until one year is up, which means we can't take the vacation we were planning to Maine. I as well just got done with HR Block and for the first time since retiring in 2001 I don't owe, therefore I now can go to ZuZoo and I can camp because the wife isn't coming. I'll be arriving with an entourage late Tuesday Afternnon via the Lockhart Basin Trail. Bringing a few non-Isuzu buds from one of the other five clubs I'm involved with. See everyone there.

Side note: if anyone is interested in buying a set of spare CV's for a 1st gen let me know. They're just sitting in my garage rebuilt and all. Later

Well now Moms Amigo is almost ready to go too. Had to rework the front bumper a little to add tow bar mounting points so we can put it behind the motorhome this year. Just gotta get an alignment on it and we'll be all ready.

I just found out that Dan and and Amanda have Senior finals on the 17th and 18th... bummer. Hope they can take them early, or I'm gonna miss them while I am in Moab

I did get the "beefed-up after cutting-up" cross-member finished today. I will put it in tomorrow evening and start assembling the hub assemblies. My plan is to drive it on Saturday.

Need a Spot
Just saw the offical Zu Zoo website this AM "No Zu Zoo this Year"
disappointed, already have reserved a site at Portal RV Park, and managed to get two weeks off so we wouldn't have to leave on Sat before ZuZooPaluza to be able to be @ work Mon AM. Driving back from ZuZoo VIII was a disaster - we locked ourselves out of the Amigo (by mistake) in the middle of Nevada. Had to break window to get in - will hide a key now - and drove home in freezing temps with a "open" window. Not sure now. 1600 miles is a long way to drive to wheel in an unfamilar place by yourself. Bob & Cheryl - Winner of the "Prettyist Truck Award - Zu Zoo VIII - just barely beating Fernando

Although there is no "Zu Zoo" this year, I have a feeling that a "few" Isuzu fans will be gathering in Moab around the 3rd week of May. Nothing formal, just some people getting together. If you can make it great.
