I ended up using the plug for the clock to power the switch. It has a 12V+ that is active when the key is in ACC position.

I was searching for somewhere to plug in the temp sensor from summit and saw this picture in a post on pirate:

The thermostat housing I have now doesn't have that sensor that is circled in red. What I want to know where I could find a t-stat housing like that, or a part number? I'd feel alot more comfortable with a housing that was made to have a sensor in it than drilling/tapping the existing one, it's a little thin.

That is the intake from an earlier 22RE (85-87/8)... The sensor is used to bump up fuel pressure when hot starting the engine.

Not the best location for a fan controller. If the thermostat is sticky, the fan could be fooled by a lower reading than actual engine coolant temp, and not activate the fan.

Use the engine block drain, 3/4 of the way back on the driver's side of the engine, low on the block... Gives you a more accurate temp reading.

Just a quick question on the block drain plug. What is the thread size/pitch?
It not something I can really take out and check without making a bit of a mess <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

The sender is 3/8-18 NPT and I'd like to know if I need an adapter for it to fit in there.
