I'm sure you've all seen the D ring mount that goes in your rear 2in receiver. Well, I saw a truck driving down the road yesterday that had a D ring mounted through the hole you would normally put the ball in on a regular ball mount. Anyone see a problem with this? Or are you better off springing for the actual D ring mount? My ball mount is rated for a 5000lb pull, so would putting a D ring through the hole be safe?

Just wondering...
