Getting the Wheeling Fever
My denso o2 sensor order from the west coast didn't work out. USPS lost 'em. Express Mail no less. No parts stores around me stock Denso. I recall being warned off of Bosch, which everyone seems to have in stock. Are they NG for this truck? Should I avoid them? Any opinions?

most of them dont mount to the stock flange that ive seen, they use a threaded bung.

ive never replaced mine, theyre original to my knowledge.

Nothing's "wrong" with the Bosch sensor, their products are fine, and I would use a pair on my european cars but for our Toyota application they are Bosch's attempt at a copy of the Denso sensor.

Furthermore, I have found that the Bosch sensors sold at aftermarket retail are always overpriced and usually have this "universal connector" crap (even for cars where bosch is original!) so you get to cut your factory wires.

As a matter of fact I would never put anything Bosch on this truck, even spark plugs or wiper blades.

I would get the one from the dealer. There are some wholesale internet dealers and a forum favorite discounting dealer. Even if it is more expensive than your bosch source, it comes with the gasket, fits with no modification, factory connectors won't leak/corrode, no too-long wire to get burned by the exhaust. Pick up a pair of nuts, too, these are self locking.

Worldpac carries Denso and any repair shop that uses them can order one and have it surprisingly fast.

I really can't comment on Bosch, but if it was me, I would opt for the original Denso part. Last summer, I had to change mine for the first time. If you do a search on Ebay, you'll find many selling at 50% off of retail. I got mine within a few days, and it was a simple plugin.

www.sparkplugs.com carries Densos.

I don't use Bosch anything on my Yotas either.

Bosch is a leading OEM supplier worldwide and I am sure they make fine parts, BUT:

Absolutely do not use any sensor that does not have the OEM connector harness on it and/or does not match the OEM mounting system exactly.

The O2 sensor is the primary A/F control and can be 'biased' slightly rich / lean as the powertrain engineers desired. Stick with the OEM calibration and use the factory parts for this critical application.

The accepted life is 100k miles. It's a fair bet a sensor is worn out if the vehicle is this age.

The CEL will not always come on - it has to go far out of range or be open for this to happen.

When the front (regulating) o2 sensor goes bad, your gas mileage goes down a bit.

The rear one isn't all that important, it's only compared with the front sensor reading to make sure the cat is working.
