I've almost finished putting on my Marlin 4" lift kit, but i've hit a little bit of a road block. When mounting my rear shocks i kept the stock spring hangars that were up on the frame, and mildly relocated the ones that were on the axle. Here is my current setup

(this is my 84 pickup (ext cab)) with the new shocks in the stock locations. The problem is that the shocks, now at ride height, are compressed with only about 4 inches of collapsable length left, as you can see

I'm curious as to better setups. Please post pics, measurements, etc!
thanks

I'm in the same boat...need to do this as well. Bud's thing is prolly the easiest. Others will chime in and tell me I'm full of beans.... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Roll Me Over
Put the mounts where they are supposed to be - on the sides of the axle - and you'll be fine.

Here's mine. Don't know what brand, but looks pretty simple/home welded.

Check out the rear shock set-up available at budbuilt.com.

I home fabbed mine, using this style set-up.
