Check with any of the major fab providers for toyota - Marlin & All Pro - I believe one (or both) of them carries a long travel slip yoke that comes in well under $250.
I bought one and if I recall right, it's very simple to install.. You have to cut off the existing yoke, but it basically slides right end and you just weld it up.
If you do it yourself make sure you phase it right and the d-shaft runs true.
