Sorry man, with the engine at TDC, 0*, the cam needs to be just LEFT of center. About 11:30 actually. Be sure the rotor is at #1 post on the cap, then your golden. I "think" you can do this by just removing the valve cover, and not the entire timing cover. Others will chime in.
