Getting the Wheeling Fever
I'm in hopes someone has some knowledge or experienced this prob. before, The front end on my 1996 jeep grand cherokee lorado alltrack I just picked-up has a rubicon lift maybe six inch not sure bought it this way and ride hight is adjustable, my problem is while on the fwy it seems to float a little from side to side? the tires are mickey thompsons baja claws 33x12.5x15. I suspect the tires since the side walls are only a 2ply to my sureprise.

Somebody else will have to address your "floating" problem. I will say just about ALL tires are 2 ply sidwalls. No worries there.

I've never used MT Baja Claws, but I did have a 1-ton truck (Dodge) with MT Baja Belted tires. It wandered really bad on the highway. I finally took them off and installed BFG Mud Terrain tires, and the wandering problem was completely solved.

BTW, the BFGs were better than the MTs on every surface (pavement, snow, rocks, dirt, etc) except sand, where the MTs had a slight edge. That was probably due to the wider cross section of the MTs.

Take a good look at the front track bar and make sure the bushings are not worn, if I remember right that causes a loose feeling on cherokees.

Isn't the MT baja claws bias ply, if so they are horrable on road and most likely the biggest part of your problem. Alignment most of the time will pull it to one side or the other, not back and forth. And the track bar problem is a death wobble definatly not a floating issue.
Bias ply tires do not have steel belts, instead they have nylon belts. in some ways that is great others it is bad. the good is the do great off road. the bad is that they squirm on the road, as you are feeling now. The tread also squeezes closer together on harder surfaces leaving less room in the grooves for water, snow, and so on to get in for better contact to road surfaces. If you switched to ANY steel belted radial i bet your problem would be gone
