True, but I guess I was wondering more about the value of all of those mods and repairs, versus the fact that the speedo & odo still don't work, as well as the poor handling issue - and wanted to seek opinions from a broader base of Isuzuholics.

Well, most folks won't care much about repairs made to get it back to function. Sad, but true... little value comes from restoration-of-function to the base level of function that the vehicle had when new. Anything less means a price cut, anything more (upgrades!) is frustratingly neutral if you're selling, and often cost-free bonus if you're buying. Worse yet, speedo and odo non-function eliminates a usage reference against which value is assessed, and most buyers will assume either tampering or MANY miles.

Report further performance issues at your own peril, Jeff... I won't advise you to lie or be artificially circumspect, but do realize that you are creating a searchable record for future owners, if they have the acumen/abilities to search it out. That's especially an issue for rare vehicles, say... Vehicross, Shelby Cobra, Uzi, etc. (one of those has value <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" /> FAR <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" /> beyond the other!).

I'm all for fixing things on my own, and often do, but have been to the dealer occasionally. Have you considered going to the nearest dealer for diagnosis (and possible repair)?
