Changed the oil over the weekend and noticed the "u" shaped hose located on the t-stat housing just underneath the upper radiator hose seemed pretty spongy feeling. I assume this is a coolant by-pass hose. When I replace the hose do I need to drain any coolant first? Does the hose normally hold coolant or is is dry when the engine is off?
Thanks,
Jim

Yup. Drain your coolant, otherwise when you pop the hose off you'll end up draining it anyways... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cyclops.gif" alt="" />
