indeed jim, the flares must be perfect. are you thinking that an improper flare could cause a sudden complete failure? i was thinking that the system would just never bleed properly or leak down slowly. couplings make me cringe. i'd rather see an ameture, fresh brake line job than old rusty ones coupled together any day.
