You have my mind working here. I really want to keep my original Xfer case on my 95 SR. but it appears that using a NP231 doubler and a custom made rear plate would allow bolting the stock transfer case up to the doubler.
There are obviously secondary complications that will arise but they may be no greater than you have undertaken already.
This may be attractive to others that want to keep the full time ability.
