So i'm in the market for a 4runner and I test drove one that has some body damage on the passenger side because the owner pinched it between two trees. I'm not concerned by the body damage too much because there is no rust it just might require a little bondo work and a new door shell. The only thing that concerned me was how gutless the motor was. I have driven 22re before and this one just felt really slow. It is on 31in tires and he does have the exhaust cut off directly under the drivers seat. It idles great and the enging doesn't leak or smoke oil. It doesn't make any weird noies. It has 211K on it. My question is do you think that it could feel gutless because there is no back pressure? He is asking $1500 and he is including rear 4in leaf springs.
