Radiators are put together with solder, and note that the upper tank is soldered to the core. I would still solder it, with silver solder, but I'd keep a wet rag between the solder site and the core-tank joint. Radiator shops use a very wide cool gas flame under quite low pressure for their soldering work, but I guess you'll need more heat for silver than lead....
