For you old timers who remember Robert's " 86 TD Air Trooper" I have some bad news and good news.
The bad news.
Roberts son decided to get crazy with the truck and make a tube buggy out of it. But after taking it all apart (Including many hours with a sawzall!) he lost interest. It has set in Roberts back yard for over a year. All Dissassemble like Johnny 5! Unfortunitly it has been pretty well gaurenteed that putting it back together in working order, like it was, is not an option. Too much damage to repair. Robert is just sick about it. But his wife is thrilled to have it out of the back yard. (Personally, I'm surprised she let it set there this long! :))

The good news,
All of the parts we can still find, have found their way to my shop. I'm still scratching my head as to what to do with all of it. But, there is a certain 86 Trooper I have in the wings just begging for a Turbo Diesel Engine.

So I guess it's safe to say that although Air Trooper has met the grim reaper, it will live on in spirit by having it's major organs transplanted into various other vehicles.

Updates as they happen.

p.s. Melissa, as you can imagine, is not too thrilled at my new aquisition! This makes 4 Troopers, one Rodeo, and an I Mark. But hey, I could still be racing! Then she'd really have something to gripe about.
