now this may sound wierd but my xfather in law had a good way to do it. he would pull the valve core then i wold stand on one side of the tire while he would drive over the other side with his f 150 to break the bead then flip tire and repeat. he had 2 long screw drivers to work the bead off the rim. now here is the cool part to put the new tire on he would soap up both sides of the bead get the tire started on the bottom bead then beat the rest of it on with a 32 oz syanley framing hammer, then start the top bead and repeat. now to say i wasnt to comfy with this idea on my stang rims being they were aluminum but in his own way he wold just look at me as if to say "what are you worried about" as he is already swinging the hammer. and in all the times we did tires that way he never ever once hit the rim
