Getting the Wheeling Fever
Heres is the work done thus far. Plans include fiberglass bedsides, new fenders, shocks bumpers, tailgate and wheels. I want to replace the brakelines to the LSPV while the box is off. Anyone done this. Are the old lines hard to get out of the plastic clips?

Dunno about those brakelines, but, man, now is the time to make sure your wiring/fuel lines and everything else to do with the fuel pump/tank is in tiptop shape.

Thanks, I did all the fuel lines last year and man I wish I had taken the box off instead of dropping the tank.

There is a guy in Bridgewater who sells the fiberglass sides for 200 a piece. I think his name is Blair Moland. I am waiting on a call from wolf steel for the cab corners. They had problems with the last run and had to restamp them. I have new fenders for the front waiting to go on. I ran new brakelines yesterday and once I put one more coat of paint on the frame the new shocks will go on. Need some nice weather ha ha

I just did the same thing you are going to do about 3weeks ago due to my 16yrs old rusty brakeline leakage right btwn the gas tank & the frame rail. Everything is super easy when your bed is off. (it's worth the effort to remove it).

Since you are replacing those 2 brakelines along the frame rail from the front to the back, just cut your brakelines with a cutter about 1/2" from the fittings. Using a socket/rachet to undo the fitting, you are almost garantee not to strip them etc.

To pop out your old brakelines from the framerail, just use a flathead screwdriver & pry them away from the clip.

At the same time, you might as well clean/paint the area around/on top of the gas tank. You could even tap in a fuel pump kill switch or something at the same time while you have access to it!
