Body Damage is Cool
I have had the same experience with 4wheelparts and other shops, but then when they see my truck, they are just speach less.

One of the big 4x4 mags usually comes out with a tire size chart every year. It says on a Montero you need a 3in body lift to run 31s.

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

yeah, I have to say that fourwheel parts does kinda suck. I ordered 15x10 dick cepek wheels and 35x12.5" good year MTR's for a grand total of $1800 for 5 of them, mounted and balanced. I have only had them for 3 months and the valve stems are cracking and dry rotted. I was mad, so I called them.

They will be replacing my valve stems for free next week. I will see how it goes when I roll up in my 97 SR with those 35's. They better not give me a hard time b/c if they do they will quickly find out they are messing with the wrong guy.

Funny, I fit 31s on my Raider with 0 lift. In fact, my springs are sagging in the rear and the T bars are a little worn out.
I am starting to think 31s are looking a little wimpy

from my understanding, pretty much nothing. At most crank the T bars a little, and use add a leaf on the rear.

If you're just trying to fit bigger tires and don't want to do suspension lift (add a leafs, t-bar crank) just get a simple 2" body lift from roger brown, the 33s will look like they are meant for it. Stock, the 33s will look a little stuffed and will rub like hell if you don't have the right backspacing on rims.
