I don't know the length of Ford 302, but I was able to fit 6.0 Chevy (4 inch longer than orig 4cyl) into Raider. I had to move radiators forward and cut the floor to fit bellhousing, tranny, t-case and exhaust, but I didn't hammer the firewall. I guess Ford 302 dimensions wouldn't be a problem.
