How would the Stock front and rear axle handle the HP from the 5.0.

My 350 was snapping the axles like toothpicks when I pushed it. Nothing an axle swap and SAS didn't cure.

I know the front axles are pretty similar on the raiders and trucks. As far as the engine compartment I don't know if they are the same. I would guess they are very similar though. You would have to ask Landraider he puting a 4.3 Liter in his raider and could probably get you more info.

This might be a donor vehicle for this swap. I dont know if the front drop is on the correct. It is in the for sale forum. If it is good hard to beat $300. No I dont know the guy.

Depending on the year...engine bays are different sizes. To 86 D50 is larger engine bay than Montero, a couple inches. After 86/87 D50 and Montero similar sizes. Based upon junkyard looksees. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

I see that the 350'd D50 has a solid front axle, how possible is that on a Montero?
