im guessing exhaust but the early 22res have an 02 sensor in the manifold, I believe 85-88 had them.

The 22R carbies had different ex manifolds in that the heads had either round (pre84) or pear shaped (85+) exhaust ports.

The 22RE ex manifold would have pear shaped ports and a boss for mounting the 02 sensor.
