Hmmm, well, on my 93 I have 35x12.5 tires on 15x8 wheels with 3.75" backspacing. I have 3.25" suspension lift. This setup barely rubs on the back of the front wheel wells, and once in a while on the edge of the plastic bumper at the wheel well.

So, I would think 33" tires would fit just fine...but apparently YMMV.
