Chris One time when I was Elk guiding in Colorado. I had an old Jeep and 2 hunters in it. It had NO WIPERS and of course no top either. It started snowing a whiteout. We wound up with one of the hunters standing and wiping the windshield with his hands while I drove.
Upon return to camp we all had INCHES of snow covering us. Man what fun!!!
But to answer your question, no. We didn't drive em on the hiway so there was no road spray.
I do remember pushing in the clutch and reving the engine to build up some vaccum so the wipers would go back to moving.
