My rodeo has 4.88's with 35's. I love my truck but I can't bare driving it for more than a couple days. I don't want a hot rod but it would be nice to get up to speed in under an hour. I have to keep it up at 5 krpm so when it shifts it doesn't drop below 3k or then its all over. It isn't happy till its at least 3krpm.

I don't know what to do regear? maybe a manual tranny would not suck all the little power it has? or do I need to bite the bullet and drop in a v8

My big truck has 512lb ft more torque than the rodeo. isn't that sad
