Why NOT the 5vzfe? It's a GREAT motor and it bolts right up to your motor mounts and transmission.
Other motor choices are a 7mgte, Chevy 350, Chevy 4.3, or any other motor you want and can buy or build adapters and motor mounts for.

If you want to go domestic, get a 302. Small, powerful (esp. if you build it) and compact for a v8. Easy to get to, just find a wreck mustang and buy the adaptors from Advanced Adaptors... you just have to figure out wiring...

Well, the problem with the 5vz fe is that i live in Sweden and the 4runner import stopped 96 so there are no ones for sale....Where can i get one then?

BUT the Land Cruiser was imported! Does the 5vz-fe from the land cruiser bolts direct? Does auto/manu matters?
Thanks

Any 5vzfe should bolt up. The 3rd gen 4Runner was based on the Land Cruiser Prado 90 series.
Auto/manual is up to you.

Is the swap hard to do?
Is there anything special to think about when doing the swap?
Does the tranny from 3,0 works with the 3,4?
Thanx

It is one of the easier swaps, and your tranny will bolt right up as well as your motor mounts. I would suggest buying a pre-made wire harness from Off Road Solutions. Give Mike a call. He is busy and will probably have to call you back, but he is a great guy who does very good work. Start your research here: http://www.offroadsolutions.com/technicalarticles.htm

http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/showf...mp;amp;sb=5&o=14&fpart=1It is a pretty simple swap and be done very quickly if you get all the stuff together before hand. See link above. It may answer some of your questions. I now have a few thousand miles on my swap and it is super.
