Getting the Wheeling Fever
I currently am using a Flowmaster 40 Series muffler (torque decreased a bit), but I am curious if running straight pipes after my stock cats would make a difference. The noise would be even louder, but would the change effect HP & TQ any differently then running with the Flowmaster? Thanks!

Need a Spot
Simple answer, no! I tried it during my dual exhaust attempt...way too loud! Stick w/ a good high flow exhaust and be happy!

you'll probably lose a little more torque but gain a slight bit of HP, significant amounts? Probably not. Louder? Yes. Legal? depends on where you are.

Actually, the federal noise emissions limit is 86db.

Anything over 86db in any state is illegal... it's just
that hardly anyone enforces it.

I have straight pipe after my cat. I may put a muffler back on because I may have lost some torque and when you have 35"s you need all 188lb ft.

As long as you have some pipe after the cat its not too loud and I have never been harrassed about it.
