Run truck, make sure the pressure is out of the rad (very important or you could burn yourself bad), open ,and smell. I could smell the exhaust in my rad. I could also see black stuff floating in coolant. I had to do the head gaskets on both of my Monteros. One I would lose coolant through the overflow when running on interstate. Fine around town.
