My souloution was to stay in a truck because of the height, yet not give up on power and handling. the answer was my '99 SVT Lightning. However, I would have never gotten into wheeling if I hadn't bought the Lightning. I started taking such good care of it and keeping it in the garage so often that I decided to buy my '86 Runner for a daily driver. Subsiquently, my SO bought a '98 Runner Ltd. I've gotten into the Yotas so much that I'm thinking of getting rid of the "L" so that I can afford mods for the Runners!
