Getting the Wheeling Fever
1989 Isuzu truck 2.6l.
Just did the head gasket and compression, all good.
The truck runs good when cold, fuel press at 30psi, as soon as engines is warm and under load fuel press drops to 15psi or less.

Checked all connections everything is good.

New fuel pump less than 200km(120mi) on it.
guys at isuzu told me it is most likely the fuel pump.
somehow I dont believe them.
What do you think????

Need a Spot
I would check the fuel filter first and then the regulator. I'm a little surprised it runs well at 30 psi if you have the stock injectors; I just checked mine last night and it ran at 46 cold and 42 when warmed up.

Body Damage is Cool
CHECK THE VOLTAGE AT THE PUMP IF YOU HAVE A GOOD FILTER AND 12 VOLTS AT THE PUMP, VERY GOOD CHANCE THE PUMP IS BAD , SHEAR LUCK IT WILL EVEN RUN AT 15 PSI, IT MUST MAINTAIN AT LEAST 28 LB,S TO RUN CORRECTLY , HI SIDE SHOULD BE UPWARDS OF 36 PSI, HAVE YOU HAD THE ALT CHECKED FOR OUTPUT IF THE SUPPLY VOLTAGE IS FALLING OFF THE PUMP SPD WILL DROP, AND OF COURSE THE PRESSURE , JERRY

Getting the Wheeling Fever
well I decied to pick up a new pump at the parts store and drop the tank and install the new one, well as soon as i puuled the sendint unit out I fiugred out what the hell is goind on, the pump it was on was about half the size of the original and it would heat up and start to seiz up.
I even remember the pump would actualy hiss while it was in the tank trying to pump as fast as possible.

Thanks you guys
