Getting the Wheeling Fever
I'm getting a high pitched squeek from the front of my truck. It gets progressively faster with speed. I only had a quick minute earlier to jack up the front end and the drivers side tire is noticeably harder to turn and does not free spin for nearly as long as the passenger side does. My real question here is... could it be the brakes grabbing the rotor (maybe need bled, adjusted, or replaced) or is it most likely the wheel bearings (which by the way I have replaced within the last year and have not had them submerged in any water since the r2). I know that front pads have the indicators but I can't remember if they always drag when the pads are getting low or only when the brakes are applied. The squeek is not affected by the application of the brakes either. Thanks.

Wheeler
My first impression is wheel bearing(s). Pry your calipers open and then spin the wheel. If still tight then its the bearings. If wheel spins freely then its brakes. Seized caliper. Another indicator of a brake problem is after driving without using brakes are the brakes excessively hot, if so there is problem -stuck caliper.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Well, lucky me. It turned out it was a stuck caliper. As soon as I took the caliper off, the rotor spun just fine. I went ahead and replaced both left and right. Although I did not get a chance to take the rotor's off and have them turned. I will try and get that done soon. Does anyone know somewhere cheap I can pickup that 54mm socket? I had a hard time trying to find one yesterday?

Marlin has them or go to Sears and get a 2 1/8 socket, you will also need a 3/4 to 1/2 adapter.
