I purchased my '02 Trooper new. Up until now, no problems or issues ... great rig (my 2nd Trooper). There still is nothing actually wrong with the rig, but there is a strange "clunking" noise that seems to be coming from underneath transfer case shifter; but the noise only occurs when you turn a corner ... in either direction. Anytime there is some body roll (which is just about every corner), I hear a "clunk" sound that comes from underneath the vehicle. It sounds like something metal must be moving from one side to the other and then bumps into something to create the "clunk" sound. I have looked up underneath the rig but can't see anything loose. The truck runs perfect and all functions (2WD, 4WD, Auto Tranny) all work fine. Any hints? Thanks ... Fred.
