Looks like you may have this done in time for Moab. Guess you couldn't have a last minute mod to the amigo this year, so you had to up and build a trailor last minute. I love it. Should be another awesome creation from you.

Ok Steve, I've been slakin.... I've got about 2 hours on it each night this week. The spring hangars I under-estimated their width in my drawing & had to cut about 3/8 off the side of the end hangars to get the distance right. Not a huge deal though. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.houlster.com/trailer/images/IMGP0214.jpg) The corner cuts are for tire clearance: ![[Linked Image]](http://www.houlster.com/trailer/images/IMGP0215.jpg) The ramps I cut & notched with the plasma: ![[Linked Image]](http://www.houlster.com/trailer/images/IMGP0211.jpg) Then bent & welded up: ![[Linked Image]](http://www.houlster.com/trailer/images/IMGP0212.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://www.houlster.com/trailer/images/IMGP0216.jpg) --Dan

How's that parker plasma working out? I have someone coming over to buy my torch setup, might buy one with the money. When it's working, it works awesome. It is seriously a time saver cutting and notching tubing for bending. I spend a few minutes marking out the cuts, use a piece of angle as a straight edge and the plasma literally slices it like a razor. It's a lot quicker & easier than a sawzall or cutoff wheel. I did have a couple problems with my machine though. It quit twice on me in the last 3 weeks. A capacitor or something blew inside. The folks at Parker were very good about though. Luckily, I live about 20 minutes from them. The 2nd time they prepped a brand new machine for me and it was ready by the time I got there & I was back & cutting again within an hour. If you're gonna get one of these cheap imports, I'd say definitely get it from Parker.

If you're gonna get one of these cheap imports, I'd say definitely get it from Parker. I've read great reviews on them. The 50A models are rated for 3/4" cut and cost 2/3 as much as a Hobart, Miller, etc rated for 1/4" cut... even if you have some headaches initially, you'd have to buy the machine 3x over to have spent what a comparably-rated name brand unit would cost you. I have definitely read of some people having problems; but never one that wasn't taken care of with superb customer service. I ordered one of their scratch and dent 40A DV machines with the "turbo" ( ) upgrade last week for $450 shipped. Its the best excuse I could come up with for buying a bigger air compressor.

I really think you're gonna like it Sean. I think mine was a fluke. The new replacement has been working great. Here's a cut for a notch: ![[Linked Image]](http://www.houlster.com/trailer/images/IMGP0250.jpg) Finished it today. Well, mostly. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.houlster.com/trailer/images/IMGP0253.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://www.houlster.com/trailer/images/IMGP0257.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://www.houlster.com/trailer/images/IMGP0258.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://www.houlster.com/trailer/images/IMGP0259.jpg) I'm gonna give it a shakedown run tomorrow and leave for Moab on Monday. --Dan
