cut my cat out and put in new exhaust with a flowmaster 40 series muffler sounds tough not ricey at all.
02 sportage softtop 1 inch body 4 inch suspension custom exhaust custom bumpers front and rear 31" tires

Funny cause I was thinking of this like 5 hours ago. I was seriously going to do this but the irritating orange display would drive me nuts. What did you put in place of it?? Removed both?????? Also I was also gonna pull a " Flyboy " tactic and cut through my hood (ram). Any Pictures? Thanks.....

Thanks..... dint replace it with anything we got rid of emmisions here awhile ago thanks to the great body ventura when he was governer as for the cel i gave up on that about a year ago it read like five or six codes and still runs like a top you get use to it after awhile i erased it and it was off for a day and i kinda missed it <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

The ECM monitors the front cat (the one on the exhaust manifold) only. And as long as you live in a state that just visually checks for the presence of emissions equipment and a diag check shows no active CEL you should pass. But if your state does like the People's Republic of Kalifornia and probes your exhaust you'll fail.
