Funny cause I was thinking of this like 5 hours ago. I was seriously going to do this but the irritating orange display would drive me nuts.

Also I was also gonna pull a " Flyboy " tactic and cut through my hood (ram).

You can remove the rear cat (the one under the driver) and not throw a CEL. The ECM monitors the front cat (the one on the exhaust manifold) only. And as long as you live in a state that just visually checks for the presence of emissions equipment and a diag check shows no active CEL you should pass. But if your state does like the People's Republic of Kalifornia and probes your exhaust you'll fail.
